RICHARD CALVIN ORR, 84, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017. He was born in rural Conway Springs, Kansas to John Calvin Orr and Neva Maud (Stinson) Orr. He lived much of his childhood in Wichita but enjoyed living with his grandparents for short periods in Conway Springs. He was a 1951 graduate of Conway Springs High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1954, serving his country for three years. He worked at Boeing Aircraft for a brief time before going to work in 1960 for White Star Machinery of Wichita where he was employed for nearly 30 years. He served his Lord and Savior as pastor at True Church of the First Born in Wichita since 1979. He is survived by his lovely wife Lorita Law-Orr; devoted children, Valerie (Rob) Ulbrich of Valley Center, Michelle Kingore of Colorado Springs, Marian Curless of Wichita and Rueben (Jennifer) Orr of Castle Rock, Colorado; cherished grandchildren, Ashley (Philip) Zevenbergen, Ben (Brooke) Ulbrich, Isaac Ulbrich, Calvin Chancey, Brent (Cecilia) Van Dyke, Amanda (Nathan) Fleury, Alex (Kendra) Orr, Rachel Orr, Faith Orr and Jonathon Orr; great grandchildren, Anika, Oran, Alyssa, Michelle and 2 more expected in spring 2018; sisters Della Shafer and Mary Hanson; several stepchildren and step- grandchildren; numerous other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Janice Orr, and by his 4 yr old daughter Cynthia Jean Orr.
