Hughes, Richard David, 66, retired OTR Truck Driver, passed away on Tuesday, September11, 2012. He was born in Halstead, Kansas to Woodrow Wilson Hughes and Madge (Hartzell) Hughes. He served in the United Stated Marine Corps and was a Vietnam War Veteran. He is survived by his children, Serena Beck and husband, John of Boulder, Colorado, David Hughes and wife April of Burrton, Kansas, Michael Hughes of Emporia, Kansas and John Hughes of Halstead, Kansas; 12 grandchildren; sister, Barbara Stout; many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Madge Hughes, brother Gerald Hughes and sister, Beverly Krueger. Service pending. Memorials may be designated to Hospice Care of Kansas, 301 N. Main Ste 107, Newton, Ks 67114. Baker Funeral Home, Valley Center. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com
