Obituary

Richard (Ric) Michael Dillon, 75, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on December 26, 2025, in Park City, Kansas. He was born on February 9, 1950, in Wichita, Kansas to William and Jeannie Dillon,

Ric graduated from Valley Center High School in 1969. From there, he went into serving his country for four years as a Load Master in the Unites States Air Force. Ric took pride in being a Vietnam Veteran. If you knew Ric, you knew that he loved his God, his country, and his family to his very core.

Upon his return home, he began a lifetime career in commercial construction as a carpenter, foreman, and superintendent. That's another thing about Ric, if you knew him, you knew he loved his job and took great pride in the buildings he was responsible for.

In December of 2001, he married the love of his life, Gloria Dillon. They built a beautiful life together for 24 years. They combined their children and grandchildren, but to Ric and Gloria, there are no "step" children or grandchildren, we have always been "theirs".

He is survived by his wife Gloria Dillon of Park City, Kansas; four sisters Debbie Rundell of El Reno, OK, Shelley (Kenny) Murray of Park City, KS, Francie Smith of Andover, KS, and Tami Myers of Park City, KS; brother-in-law Brett Myers of Wichita, KS; father -in-law Tom Hughes of Florence, AZ; sister-in-law & brother-in-law Janet and Joe Ciochon of Florence, AZ; four children Piper Miller & husband Sean, Dustin Dillon & wife Benita, Shannon Zerr & husband Jesse, Justin Wilson & wife China; eighteen grandchildren Matthew, McKenzy & husband Mark, Jordan, Chase, Legend, Abby, Blayde, Trenton, Keely (Eli), Mystik, Chance, Mellie, Slaydn, Tayler, Kimmie, Jaydyn, and Mandy; three great grandchildren Caden, Breighlyn, and Maverick; and many nieces and nephews.
