On Saturday, October 4, 2014, Reva Wilmetta Crane passed into eternal rest after a long and courageous battle. She was born on December 23, 1930 in Las Animas, CO. Those of us who knew Reva were truly blessed to have called her wife, mother, sister, niece, aunt, friend, neighbor and co-worker. Reva was well known for her Cinnamon rolls made daily at Jones café and then for her 23 years as the Food Service Director with Valley Center school district 262. Reva is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, James, daughter Kathryn of Valley Center, KS, son Robert of Wichita, KS. and son David (Mary Anne) of Panama City, FL. Five grandchildren Jennifer, Melissa, Dustin, Tessa (Danny) great grandchild Logan, and Joshua (Samantha); and brother Wayne Failing of Poplar, Montana. She is preceded in death by her parents Quentin and Wilma Failing, sister Ruth Gnagey, brothers Roland Failing and Gene Failing. She will be deeply missed by all. Reva's husband and family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and staff at Asbury Park of Newton KS whose caring, love, and compassion made it possible for her family to get through the final days of her struggle; In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's foundation in Reva's name, 1820 E Douglas, Wichita, Ks 67214.
