She is preceded in death by her parents William and Betty Blake of Liberal, KS; sister, Linda Harding of Liberal, KS and her dog, Roxie.

Reatha was born in Benkelman, NE to William and Betty Blake. She graduated from Garden City High School in 1973. She married John Ballinger her sweetheart in May 1973. She spent many years working as a medical assistant. Most recently she had worked with Dr. Denis Knight whom she adored. In July 2012, Reatha remarried to Mike Bennett. Together they loved to spend time at their camper at the lake or argue who was the better team, the Broncos or the Chiefs. Her loyalty to the K-State Wildcats did not make her devoted KU Jayhawk family love her any less. Spending time with her family and friends was always time treasured.

A celebration is scheduled Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Red Roof Inn (Kellogg/Ridge). All are welcome to attend as we celebrate Reatha's life. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial gifts to Victory in the Valley at 3755 E Douglas, Wichita, KS 67218. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Wesley Medical Center and the staff with Phoenix Hospice for their care.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com
