Rachel (Carpenter) Johnson's Obituary
Alva 'Rachel' (Carpenter) Johnson, 97, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018. She was born in rural Butler, Oklahoma, to George Washington Carpenter and Minerva Elizabeth (Brown) Carpenter. December, 1940, she married the love of her life, Gerald Arvon 'Dick' Johnson. To this union were two daughters. Rachel enjoyed serving others and loved her family very much. She is survived by her children Sue (Harold) King of Maize, Kansas and Patricia (Spencer) Ring of Wichita, Kansas; grandchildren, Troy King, Brad King, Becky Rimmert, Shanda Nue, Kristn Ring and Brian Ring; 9 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and 3 sisters-in-law; many other family.
Service 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 2, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel, 100 S Cedar, Valley Center, Kansas. Graveside will follow the service at Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, Kansas. www.bakerfhvc
