Hamilton, Richard Douglas "Doug", 61, Kennametal Widia Products Group Applications Engineer, beloved husband, dad, son, brother uncle and friend, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2012. Doug was a graduate of Valley Center High School. He attended Hutchinson Jr. College where he received his Associate Degree. He is survived by his wife, Chris Hamilton; his children, Bevin Hamilton of Santa Monica, CA, Griffin Hamilton of Lenexa, KS and Rowan Hamilton of Lenexa, KS; step-children, Stephanie Culen of New York, NY and Jessica Musgrave of Chicago, IL; his mother, Helen Hamilton of Wichita; brother, Drew (Janice) Hamilton of Wichita; sisters, Denise Baker of Richardson, TX and Deb (Jeff) Stafford of Spokane, WA; father-in-law, "Pop" of Ft. Collins, CO. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Hamilton and brother, Mark Hamilton. Doug will always be remembered for his love and support of family and friends. He took great pride in all he did, from simple projects to caring for others, he always did it right – perfect. He loved woodworking, golf, running and especially biking on the trails, wherever his travels took him. He will be missed. Services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, February 3, at the First United Methodist Church, Valley Center. Burial following the service at Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick.
