WICHITA, KANSAS
PORTIA (COLE) HOFFMAN-SMITH,
60 years, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017. She was born in rural Washington Twp, Jackson County, Missouri to Hutcherson George Cole and Martha (Ferguson) Cole Foster. She attended Wichita schools and West High School. She had her own business for many years doing what she enjoyed. She loved working, cleaning and being in the sunshine. Her pride and joy was livin' country and being with her family. She is survived by her husband Hershel Smith; children Curtis Hoffman and Tabitha Hoffman; grandchildren Brayden Hoffman, Ashlyn Hoffman, Westin Hoffman, Shelby Smith, Lexie Smith, Paityn Zaha and Dailyn Zaha; brother Bert (Anna) Cole; sister Rose (Bill) Mason; best friend, cousin and sister at heart Shelly Cole; stepsons Scotty Smith, Jason Smith and Luke Smith; her beloved Missy Lynn; many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband Kenneth Hoffman, her parents, brothers Stanley Cole and Myles 'Mac' Cole. Service 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 15, with visitation before, at Baker Funeral Home Valley Center. Graveside 2 p.m., at Weakley Cemetery, New Albany, Kansas.
