Obituary

Philip May of Park City passed away on March 18, 2023 at the age of 86. He was born in Osborne, Kansas to James and Juanita (Bixler) May. He attended high school in Russell, Kansas where he met his wife of 64 years, Sharon Carlisle. He was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 1960. While in the reserves they moved to Valley Center, Kansas and continued to lived in the Valley Center, Park City area for the remainder of their lives.  He retired from Sheplers, Inc. after 35 years as a buyer and retail manager. He also owned a boarding and training stable where he trained horses for himself and others. He loved everything about horses and being a Cowboy. He loved to spend time with his family, especially the grandkids.

Philip was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sharon and their daughter, Lana Clark.

He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Baxter (Russ); son-in-law Doug Clark; grandsons, Dallas Huebert (Brandi), Brett Baxter (Kristin) and Bryan Baxter; great grandchildren, Dylan Nobert (Audrey), Blake Huebert, Morgan Huebert, Brooklyn Huebert, Oakley Baxter and Walker Baxter.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 26, at The Highlands, 7575 E. 101st St. N., Valley Center.  Casual attire please.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been set up with Hope in the Valley Equine Rescue and Sanctuary www.hopeinthevalleyequinerescue.org .

A special thank you and appreciation to the Choice Hospice Staff for their love and care.
