PAULA JEAN (GATES) WISE
78, passed away in Wichita, Kansas on March 16, 2016. She was born in Prairie Grove, Arkansas to Lester Paul Gates and Frances Inez (Aldridge) Gates. The family moved to California where Paula was a 1955 graduate of Oakland High School. She met the love of her life at First Church Oakland and was married to Stanley W. Wise on June 29, 1957. She enjoyed being a homemaker and loved being with her family. She also worked in the medical field as an ER Clerk. Paula is survived by her husband Stanley; her best friend and sister, Reba Beller, they shared love and loss; children Timothy Wise, Cindi (Walter 'Skip') Kutsop, Todd (Staci) Wise, Kari (Jeff) Holland and Trevin Wise; grandchildren Matthew Winn, Elizabeth Wise, Kevin Wise, Christopher Wise, Benjamin Wise, Courtney Beth (Darlene) Grillot, Ashleigh (John) Landis, Brittany (Christopher) Meyer, Nicholas Kutsop, Kaelli-McKenna Kutsop, Jake (Laura) Wise, Kody Wise, Lane Wise, Lexa Wise, Jared Holland, Ari Holland, Aubri Holland; great grandchildren Logan Meyer, Aiden Meyer, Brooke Landis, Audrey Landis, Arthur Landis and Camden Holland-Menzie; brother Tony (Cheryl) Gates; nieces and nephews, Roxanne Gates, Michael Gates, Kenneth Wise III, Stephen Wise, Tracy Colbert and Karen Wise. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Danny Gates and Jack Gates. Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 25th at Harvest Community Church, 8340 W. 21st N., Wichita, Kansas.
