Pritchard, Paul Eugene, 82, passed away Friday, February 10, 2012, at home surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Holton, Kansas, the son of the late Andrew and Ida May Pritchard. He was the younger of two boys. On August 5, 1950, he married Mary Jane Dorsch, who preceded him in death. After receiving undergraduate and masters degrees in education from Wichita State University, he took employment with USD 259 where he taught at Bryant Elementary School, later promoted to school principal at Rogers and Ingalls Elementary. He eventually retired from the Wichita Public School system as the Superintendant of Transportation. Paul served in the United States Army. He was an avid aviator, owning several airplanes which he flew frequently for the EAA young eagles program. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Herschel Taylor of San Antonio, TX; sons and daughter-in-laws, Andy and Renae Pritchard of Perry, KS and Jeff and Kim Pritchard of Valley Center; grandchildren, Aaron (Devora) Taylor, Jason Taylor, Josh (Emily) Pritchard, Michelle Pritchard, Jake (Bailey) Pritchard; great grandson, Caden Pritchard. Visitation 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, February 15 at Baker Funeral Home, Valley Center. Services 1:30 p.m., Thursday, February 16, at the Valley Center Christian Church, 1801 E. 5th, Valley Center. Interment following the service at the Valley Center Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, Ks 67202.
