Patsy Gene Skaggs 71, passed away January 19, 2019 at Asbury Park in Newton, Kansas with family by her side. She was born February 14, 1947 in Rogers, Arkansas & raised in Wichita, Kansas. A Graduate of Derby High Class of 1965 she later lived in Fort Scott, Kansas & Kansas City, Kansas until moving to Newton, Kansas. She was a kind & loving person who will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Joseph Amos Skaggs; her parents Charles Smith Runkle, Maudie Mae Barker-Runkle & Henry Drake; brothers Donald & Raymond Runkle; and stepdaughter Sherie Skaggs. She is survived by her mother Betty Runkle-Drake of Sun City, AZ; her children, Donna (Darran) Headley of Valley Center, KS, Jason (Kalin) Guebert of Columbia, IL, Betty (David) Weber of Fort Scott, KS, Chuck (Connie) Harper of Fort Scott, KS; her stepsons, Steven Skaggs, Joseph Skaggs of Kansas City, KS.; 19 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren as well as many extended family members and many friends.

Graveside Services will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Fort Scott, KS on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 1:00pm with a A Celebration of Life to follow at The Liberty Theatre in Fort Scott from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
