Pamela (Hammond)
Gulley
May 18, 1960 – October 16, 2024
Pamela Jean Gulley, born to Everett and Juanita Hammond on May 18, 1960, departed this earthly life on October 16, 2024 at the age of 64. After years long physical and mental battles her soul is finely free to rest peacefully with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in her new heavenly home.
Pam grew up in Wichita and graduated from Wichita Heights High School in 1978. Following graduation, she worked for her father as parts clerk at H&N Equipment later transitioning to running the full day to day operations as office manager at the family business, Hege Equipment. During this time she married the love of her life Larry on July 7, 1979 and together they built a beautiful family.
Throughout her life, she embraced many roles—beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, and most cherished of all, grandma. Deeply devoted to her faith, she was active in ministry, both as a teacher and a lifelong learner of the gospel. Her love for the land was boundless, whether she was watching harvest or nurturing her gardens and flower beds. Among her favorite blooms were irises, gladiolus, peonies, and carnations, each a testament to her vibrant spirit and appreciation for nature's beauty.
Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister. Pam is survived by her husband of 45 years, Larry Gulley, son Jeffery Gulley (Lindsay, grandson Wyatt), daughter April Gulley (Dustin), along with nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at NewSpring Church, 12200 East 21st St North (K-96 and 21st), Wichita, Kansas on November 5, 2024 at 2pm in the north auditorium. Reception details for friends and family to be announced. The family will have a private grave side service.
She is now at peace, but her devotion to the Lord and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. If you wish to make a donation in her name a memorial has been established with NAMI Wichita Family-to-Family program. Checks made out to NAMI with Pam's name in the memo can be mailed to NAMI Wichita, PO Box 2435, Wichita, KS 67201.
