Dietz, Palmer Hugo, 92, retired USD 259 employee, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015. He was born in Wakeeney, Kansas to Otto L. Dietz and Anna E. (Fabrizius) Dietz. He was a graduate of Wakeeney High School, Wakeeney, Kansas. After graduation he entered in the 8 ^th Army Air Corps and was a World War II Veteran. He retired in 1988 from the USD 259 service center.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Eileen; and daughters Paula, Sharon (Bob) Dir, all of Wichita, and Donna (Urban) Schmitz of Silver Lake, Ks; grandchildren Andrea Waggoner, Jason Woolington, Aaron Woolington, Brian, Kerri Rawson, Matt Schmitz, Nate Schmitz; great grandchildren, Mitch, Grant, Reed, Emilie, Ian, Avery, Drake and Cade. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter Michelle Dir, sister Nadine Dietz, brothers Ferd Dietz, Don Dietz, and parents Otto and Anna Dietz.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated in his memory to the Christ Lutheran Church, 5356 N. Hillside, Wichita.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 26, at the Christ Lutheran Church, 5356 N. Hillside, Wichita, Ks with viewing before the service. Graveside held at the Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside, Kansas.
