McKinley, Norris Corneal
, 90, beloved dad, grandpa and friend, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015. He was born in Westline, Arkansas to Norris Harlan McKinley and Virgie Lee (Speck) McKinley. After school, he joined the Navy and was a Veteran of World War II. On December 12, 1949 in Bentonville, Arkansas he married the love of his life, Helen Shields. Norris went on to work at Cessna Aircraft, Kake TV, was owner and operator of McKinley's Trailer Park, commercial Lawn Service and Upholstery Shop. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and visiting with family and friends. He loved his family and enjoyed the time he spent with them. He is survived by his wife Helen McKinley; children Greta (Richard) Hagen of Divide, CO, Loretta (Rick) Phillips of Mt. Juliet, TN, Norris (D'Ette) McKinley of Cleveland, OK, Paul McKinley of Grove, OK, Peggy (Rick) Brown of Sedgwick, KS, Pamela (Chris) Freeman of Bentley, KS and Robert (Ellen) McKinley of NY; 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Norris H. and Virgie McKinley, sisters Rosa Lee Wray, Oneida Ruth Beck, and two infant brothers. Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 19 at Sedgwick Senior Center, 107 W. Fifth, Sedgwick, Kansas. Graveside following the service at Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, Kansas.
