Nora Edith (Jones) Werbin, 90, passed away, Monday, August 25, 2014. She was born in Hugo, Oklahoma to Ruby Jake Jones and Elizabeth Ann (Cooper) Jones. She was a graduate of Hugo High School. She met and fell in love with Mark Harold Werbin. They were married on September 3, 1948. Nora was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She also worked for her husband's veterinarian clinic as a bookkeeper, secretary and clerical. Mark preceded her in death, as well as her parents R.J. and Elizabeth Jones, brothers Orland Jones and Wayne Jones. Nora is survived by her children, Susan (Tommy) Tarvin of Birmingham, Alabama, Rebecca (Keith) Brungardt of Overland Park, Kansas, Ted (Darron) Ellis-Werbin of Sellersburg, Indiana, and Jamie (Karon) Werbin of Derby, Kansas; grandchildren, Mary (David) Brown of Tucson, Arizona, Anna Brungardt of Los Angeles, California, Jack Brungardt of Santa Monica, California, Josh (Megan) Phillips of Dunifee, California, Joe (Kala) Phillips of Derby, Kansas, Mark Werbin of Augusta, Kansas, Seth Werbin of Wichita, Kansas, Nichole Werbin of Spring Hill, Kansas, and James Werbin of Derby, Kansas; great grandchildren, Kaden and Nolan Phillips; brothers Dalton (Lydia) Jones of Norman, Oklahoma, Lynn (Doreen) Jones; sisters Elizabeth Grady and Nella Jones, both of Dallas, Texas; many other family and friends. Visitation 9:00 a.m. and Service 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 28 both held at First Christian Church, 514 N. Franklin, Sedgwick. Burial will follow the service at Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, Kansas.
