VALLEY CENTER, KS
Whitted, Neva Viola (Fuller), 92, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013. She was born in rural Benedict, Kansas to William L. Fuller and Sarah Viola (Locke) Fuller. She attended Pontiac Elementary and graduated in the Class of 1939 from El Dorado High School, El Dorado, Kansas. Neva attended and received her Associate Degree from El Dorado Junior College. She taught for a few years before accepting an accounting position with Montgomery Ward. On August 19, 1956, she married the love of her life, Marvin Fred Whitted. She left her position at Montgomery Ward to raise her young daughters by marriage. Neva loved her family, her church, playing the piano and organ, sewing, puzzles and spending time with her family and friends. She was the financial secretary for her church. Neva retired from Ark Valley State Bank loan department after 28 years of faithful service. She was a member of the Oddfellows Rebekahs Lodge for more than 50 years Neva is survived by her daughters, Marella (Martin) Burch of Wichita, KS and Marlene Anderson, Oklahoma City, OK; sister Ruby Manka of El Dorado; her grandchildren, Jayson Burch, Joshua Burch, Nita Cunningham (Frank LeValley), Shanda Burch, Joey (Terry) Martinez, Eric Martinez, Michael (Michelle) Jones; great grandchildren, Christopher Pool, Kevin McIntosh, Ashlyn Burch, Jarred Burch, Tommy Cunningham, Marissa Milner, Shayne Swindle, Thea Burch, Marcus Jones and Maliah Jones; brother-in-law Curtis (Betty) Whitted; sister-in-laws, Dorothy Fuller, Velda Peterson and Bonnie Whitted; many other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Marvin, parents William and Viola Fuller, brothers Ray Fuller and Keith Fuller, and sister Ruth Hendricks. Visitation 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, at Baker Funeral Home, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center, Kansas. Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 11 at Valley Center Christian Church, 1801 E. 5th St, Valley Center. Graveside 1:00 p.m. at Walnut Valley Memorial Gardens, 725 Boyer Rd, El Dorado, Ks.
