Nancy Jo McNabb, 66 yrs, was born in Wichita Kansas at St. Francis Hospital to George Edward McNabb and Stella Pearl (Little) McNabb.

She grew up in Wichita and attended Riverview Elementary, Pleasant Valley Middle and graduated Class of 1976 from Wichita Heights High School. Nancy took classes at Butler County Community College in El Dorado, but stopped to work full time. She worked at Wesley Hospital as a nurses aide, then moved to California to go to Travel School where she stayed for 32 years. While there she worked for United Cable, Yes Entertainment and The American Red Cross.

Nancy was very active with the churches she attended and made a lot of friends. Her best friend Deborah had 2 children and she was asked to be their God Mother. She was very active with her godchildren and loved them to the moon and back. They always wanted to be outside so she would find things for her and the kids to do. Nancy came back to Wichita six years ago and kind of got stuck here. After Covid finally eased up, she decided to stay here. Her health issues played a big part in her decision.

She is preceded in death by her parents George and Stella, her sister Debra Wehry, her niece Joy Wehry and nephew Scott Cornish.

Nancy is survived by her brother Dennis McNabb of Wichita Kansas, her sister Mary Cornish of Everett, Washington, brother-in-law Harvey Wehry of Wichita Kansas, her god children Hadassah and Isaiah Zenor-Davis, nephews Jerry Wehry (Clair) of Wichita and Jason Wehry (Nikki) of Sartel Michigan, also nephews Gary Cornish, Jim Cornish & nieces Tamara Cowley and Robin Cornish; many other family and friends.

Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 25th at Baker Funeral Home 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center Kansas. Graveside Service 11:30 a.m. at Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside, Wichita, Kanas.
