Obituary

Myrtle Yvonne Musfelt passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, in Salina, Kansas from complications of hardening of the arteries. "Bonnie" was born in Wilson, Kansas on March 1, 1932, to Herbert & Leona Victoria (Stout) Miller. (She has a photo of the doctor that delivered her.) The family moved to Lincoln shortly after her birth where she grew and was in the class of 1950.  In August, 1951, Bonnie married Gene Kenneth Musfelt. To this union were two sons, Ken was born 1952 and Ron was born in 1956. They lived in Arizona  1960-1961, then moved back to Kansas. She started working in 1967 for USD 305 at Hawthorne School, then the Media center, later yrs as a lunchroom lady. She lived in the same house for 57 yrs in Salina, KS, and had the same neighbors for the same number of yrs and some for only 47 yrs or less.

"Bonnie" loved to square dance, polka, play cards, and go gambling.  She liked to make sure everyone had a birthday card with a gift inside.  She enjoyed making photo albums of her family and give them as gifts.

She loved to clean house, wash windows, do yard work, laundry (these were her replies in her last days when asked what would she do if she could get out of bed).  She had a tote of decorations for every holiday she loved to display in her living room and front porch.  She renewed her driver's license in February & got the "real ID" so she could board a plane because "you never know when I might need it" at the age of 88.

She is preceded in death by her husband Gene, son Kenneth and daughter-in-law Kiffi Musfelt.

Bonnie is survived by her son Ronald & Sheryl Musfelt, daughter-in-law Debbie Musfelt & her friend Larry.
