WICHITA, KANSAS
MYRNA LOY (TUCKER) JEWELL
81, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018. She was born in Louisburg, Logan County, Kentucky to Donald Hugo Tucker Sr. and Iza Edrice (Smith) Tucker. After graduation she went on to get her Class 3 Certified Nurse's Aide working at St. Francis hospital, with her passion being in home care to help patients achieve their goals. She treasured her Native American heritage in the Cherokee Tribe. Her greatest joys in this life were her family. Myrna is survived by her son Damon (Julie) Jewell of Hurst, Texas, daughters, Lorna (Sam) Gerena of Valley Center, Kansas and Alice (Garry) Ball of Shawnee, Kansas; 10 grandchildren, Jon Foster, Joseph Foster, Jacob Clasen, Joshua Clasen, Evan Jewell, Rebecca Hayes, Rachael Gerena, Ryleigh Gerena, Jack Ball and James Ball; 15 great-grandchildren; her siblings Cloyd J. Tucker, Barbara Sue Tucker Clayton, Alice Carole Johnson, Charles Keith Tucker, Phillip Samuel Tucker and David Gary Tucker; her two constant companions Sweetie Pie and JuJu, and many other adopted family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, the love of her life, Samuel Edward Gruen, daughter Regina Onette Clasen-Dean, brothers Joe Wayne Tucker, Don Hugo Tucker Jr, and sister Betty Anne Fuller. Service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 10 with visitation at 9 a.m. before at Calvary Baptist Church, 320 N. Sheridan, Valley Center, Kansas. A private family burial will take place at Maize Park Cemetery, Maize, Kansas. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com
