MINNIE LOU (RUSSELL) BATMAN,
77, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017 She was born in Dickens, Texas to George and Minnie Bertha (Taylor) Russell. On October 30, 1954 in Booker, Texas, she married the love of her life Bryant Eugene Batman. In 1955 they moved to the Wichita-Valley Center area. She was former owner of AJ Carryout, was a dietician for New Horizons, but the greatest joy in her life was a wife, mother, grandma, sister and friend. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading and staying busy with family. Minnie is survived by her children, Roberta Ducommun of Valley Center, Debby Langford of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, George (Paula) Batman of Wichita and Glenda Batman of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren, Jonathan Ducommun, Ashley Ducommun, Christopher Batman, Randy Batman, Jeremy Batman, Savannah Puckett, Mackenzie Puckett, Austin Batman and Pamela Batman; 9 great grandchildren, Mila, Hannah, Landon, Byron, Elle, Berkley, Fairen, Bryant; brother John Russell; sisters Helen Batman, Cotey Horn, Carolyn Bond and Linda Russell; brother-in-law J.D. Batman; many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Bryant Batman, son Robert Batman, parents George and Minnie Russell, siblings Albert Russell, Dovie Slovacek, J. Sam Russell, infants George Carrol Russell, Milford Russell and Doris Lee June Russell. Graveside Service will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 11, at the Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside, Wichita with Dr. Chuck Terrill officiating. Memorials may be designated to the Alzheimer's Association – Sunflower Chapter, 1820 E. Douglas, Wichita, Ks 67214.
