Milton Elmer Willis, 99, Minister, retired Master Welder and Master Plumber, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2014. He was born on a farm near Belton, Texas to William and Martha Willis. He was the ninth of twelve children. The family moved to west Texas to the Brownfield community when he was ten years old. He attended the Union Schools. At a young age he began chores and became a very hard worker. He loved hunting and enjoyed sports. He met the love of his life as a teenager and they were married in 1935. They moved to the oilfields of New Mexico, then back to Brownfield where he began preaching and holding revival meetings. From 1946, and throughout the rest of his life, he was a Church of God preacher and Bible teacher. He also was a master welder and master plumber, owning his own businesses and also working for others. Milton was a loving, devoted husband to Pauline for 77 ½ years. Their prayers brought them through many challenges. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, great grandfather, and loved his family deeply. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline; his parents, Martha Ann and William Willis; siblings Clifford, Jack, Bert and Robert Willis, Katie Stevens, Dora Herring, Virginia Gilbert, Roxie Walker, and Mae Ascue. Milton is survived by his children, Christine (Jerry) Vogt, Milton (Jan) Willis, Troyce Willis and Anna Foster; grandchildren Sheldon (Paula) Vogt, Clifton (Bri) Vogt, Sharla Vogt, Scott (Nancy) Willis, Shannon (Bill) Hoblit, Tyrone Dedrick, Valentine Dooms; great grandchildren, Jonathan Vogt, Abigail Vogt, Madison Henry-Dooms, Olivia Pope, Easton Vogt, Maggie Vogt, Tyrone Dedrick, Tyree Dedrick, Constance Dedrick and Camille Dedrick; 6 great great grandchildren; many other family and friends.

Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 3, (viewing will be held before the service) at the First United Methodist Church, 801 N. Main, Newton, Kansas.
