Miles J Blankenship , age 66, passed away on June 13, 2022 in Wichita, Ks.   He was born in the Army hospital in Aurora, Colorado to James Blankenship and Rowena Jean (Griffith) Blankenship.  He spent most of his youth in Colorado before moving to Kansas for marriage and raising of his family. After graduating college he worked as an environmental chemist at McConnell Air Force Base for 14 years.  At retirement he was a regional environmental compliance manager for 3 states and several facilities for Clean Harbors.

He was preceded in death by his brother Lance Blankenship and mother Rowena Jean Hardiman.

He is survived by his wife Linda, four children Deja, Jeremiah, Danielle, and Audrey; and his four grandsons.  His father, James Blankenship and 2 brothers Jim and Jeff Blankenship live in Colorado.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at 10:00 am, at Tannehill Cemetery in rural Kansas.

Baker Funeral Home, Valley Center and Rindt Funeral Home in Arkansas City, Ks are handling arrangements.
