Shannon, Michael Clyde, 74, retired U.S. Navy, passed away, Saturday, May 17, 2014. He was born in Gregory, South Dakota to Clyde Edward Shannon and Agatha Alfreda (Barton) Shannon. He was a graduate of Winner, South Dakota High School. He was a 20 year U. S. Navy and Vietnam War Era Veteran. He is survived by his wife Nell Shannon; daughter Katie (Gary) Houp; grandchildren Cassie (Kevin) Davison, Kaden Shannon, Devin Davison, Mason Davison, Ethan Davison and Brayden Davison; brothers Red Shannon and Max Shannon; sisters Sue Swedlund and Myra Bruns; many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandson Michael Colin Shannon. Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Baker Funeral Home, Valley Center has charge.
