Michael "Mike" Leroy Burris of Sedgwick Kansas, age 69, took his final ride on March 28, 2021. He was born on September 18, 1951 in San Francisco, CA to Roy and Rosalee. Mike was a 1969 graduate of Heights High School in Wichita, Kansas. On October 28,1978, he was united in marriage to Marsha. He was the owner of Burris Fabrication, a business he started and operated with his wife and son. He had a love of music and motorcycles and could often be seen putting around on his Harley Davidson. When he wasn't at "the shop", he enjoyed campouts, drowning worms, and watching The Andy Griffith Show. He was a member of the American Legion Riders Kansas Chapter Post 268 and also a member of the Sons of the American Legion. Friends and family were very important to Mike, especially his Tuesday night phone call with his sister.

He is preceded in death by his father Roy H. Burris, brother Steve Burris, and mother Rosalee (Castleberry) Spindler. Mike is survived by his loving wife Marsha, Sedgwick, KS; son Luke (Courtney Holt) Sedgwick, KS; daughter Lynn (John David) Turnipseed, Ponca City, OK; sister Sharon (Robert) Walden, Lawrenceville, GA; grandchildren Ryan and Dalton Turnipseed, Ponca City, OK; numerous nieces and nephews including Kristie (Ron) Goldin, Lawrenceville, GA; Carson Walden, Lawrenceville, GA; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

A memorial service will be held for Mike on Friday, April 9 at 1:00 pm at Baker Funeral Home 100 S Cedar Ave. Valley Center, KS 67147. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com
