Matthew Lee Mitchell, 61, Wichita, passed away on the 28th  day of May, 2023. Born in Wichita, Kansas to Russell Warren Mitchell and Sue Marilyn (Watkins) Mitchell. Matt was a lifelong resident of Wichita, KS. He graduated from West High School and started his career as a machinist. He currently worked at R&R Aerospace and had been there for sixteen years.

Matt had a huge love for bike riding since the time he could walk. His love for bikes followed him into adulthood and graduated to motorcycles. Matt was a mechanic at heart and loved refurbishing old cars. He had a deep love for animals and was a faithful Raiders fan. Matt knew no stranger and would let everyone know that his door was always open. He had an unconditional love for family and friends. Matt overcame many obstacles that life threw his way which shaped him into a loving husband, brother, uncle, father, grandfather and friend.

Preceded in death by his father Russell Mitchell and sister Monty Montgomery. Matt is survived by his wife Terry Mitchell; his children Josh Brack, Kaleb Brack, Jake Truesdell and Kristin Lane; his grandchildren Zayne Brack, Alanna Emerich and Kaeden Lane; his mother Sue Mitchell; his sister's Penny Taylor and Carolyn Haefele; his nephews and nieces Shawn Crowell, Josh Crowell, Brandy Bishop, Alanna Bishop, Brittany Haefele, Jimmy Haefele and Tommy Haefele; many other family and friends.

Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 5, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel, Valley Center.
