EL DORADO,   KANSAS

MARY  ELLA  (HART)  HEIDE, 95, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2016. Mary was born May 2, 1921 to Noble and Elsie (Neumer) Hart.  She married Powell Heide on April 13, 1941 in Chanute, Kansas.  She was preceded in death by spouse, parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother, and infant son Cory. She is survived by her daughters Terry Bauman of Overland Park, Mariann Affolter and husband Randy of Clifton; sons Monte Heide and Craig Heide of Augusta; grandchildren Alan Heide of Shawnee and Jay Heide of Augusta, Chris Affolter of Clifton, Heather Williams of Olathe, Kara (Larry) Nobert of Clyde, Ks, and Jennifer Fontaine of Denver, CO, as well as 13 great grandchildren.  Mary attended grade school in Fredonia, Kansas and graduated high school in Stafford, Kansas and completed Leadership Butler. She was a retired book keeper and  retired to Augusta Kansas in 1983.  She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, federated club.  Member of Leon Senior Center; Director for 9 years.  El Dorado bus aide, member of Crazy Quilters, pitch clubs, bridge clubs, Haverhill Christian Church, CASA volunteer, American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, playing cards and bingo. Services Thursday, September 22, 2:00 p.m., at El Dorado Senior Citizens Center, 210 E. 2 Ave., El Dorado, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to El Dorado Senior Center in Mary Heide's name. Baker Funeral Home Valley Center has charge. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com
