Marla Alise Cunningham, 62, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.  She was a loving sister, aunt and friend. She was born on June 21 to Wendell and Floreine Cunningham. She graduated from Friends University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications. Marla worked in the Wichita Public School system and had various other jobs including Green Acres Health Food Store.

Marla enjoyed writing, photography, reading and spending time with family and friends. Her love of the mountains led her on several trips to Colorado. She was a strong prayer warrior. She loved the Lord and went to Him in prayer for her family and friends. Marla also had a burden for the lost and would witness to them about their need for a savior. She also would help thsoe in need with a helping hand of food.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Phil Cunningham.

Marla is survived by her sisters Lynette (Lyle) Dejmal of Hill City, Kansas, Denise (Terry) Michael of Wichita, Kansas, sister-in-law Janet Cunningham of Wichita, Kansas, 6 nieces and nephews, 14 great nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service will be held at 9:00 a.m., Thursday, June 23, at Hillside Cemetery, 125th St., Sedgwick, Kansas.  Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Lifechange Church, 10225 E. Kellogg, Wichita, Kansas 67207 (floral deliveries to the church 9-4 Wednesday or Thursday).
