MARK E. HERRON

Mark Edwards Herron, 71 was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. He passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026 at home with his wife by his side. Mark was born in Wichita, Kansas to Wilbur "Willie" and Ruth "Sally" Herron on July 28, 1954.

He worked as a mechanic until his retirement. He loved being a husband, father, brother, uncle, grandpa and friend.

Mark is survived by his wife of 40 years Elizabeth, daughter Mandy (Bruce) Hebert, sons Eric (Pam) Abbott, Jason Abbott, Andrew (Tanisha) Abbott; grandchildren, Alex, Blake, Dallas, Madison, Shianne, Janessa, Rebecca, Wyatt, Ethan, GraySyn, Kane, Kye; great grandchildren Boe, Declan, Everly, Alina; sisters Ruth Ann Hakim, Dianne (Carl) Barnes, brother Lester (Penny) Herron; many nieces, nephews, friends and honorary daughter Crystal Koral.

Mark is preceded by his parents Willie and Sally Herron, Suzanne Kernes, Donna Brinkmeyer, David Herron and Eddie Turner.

Mark loved so many including his wife, daughter, sons, grandchildren, great grandchildren, his animals AND the Kansas City Chiefs.  He will be truly missed by so many.

Service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, May 2, at the Baker Funeral Home Chapel, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center, Kansas (in honor of Mark please dress in red or Kansas City Chiefs shirts)
