Marjorie Mary Owen

Born to life: Sept. 29, 1930

Born to eternal life: May 6, 2023

Today is a very sad day for our family.  Mom was such a kind and loving mother and friend.  She loved her husband Virgil, with all her heart.  They almost had 69 years together.  They were married on July 14, 1954, on one of the hottest days of the year.  She dearly loved seeing her family.  She was sent to love out of the home at the age of 13 to live with a kind lady in Beloit, Kansas, to complete her high school education.

She then went to Marymount College in Concordia, Kansas to study to be an RN nurse.  She was an RN nurse for 50+ years.  This was a huge achievement for her!!! Her family and friends gave her great joy.  She was loved by many and loved her Catholic faith.

She is survived by her husband, Virgil D. Owen: Daughters: Mary (Mike) Ruhl; Diane (Gary) Cortner; JoAnn (Danny) Burt; and son: John (Julie) Owen.  There are 10 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.

May she rest in peace---

The Rosary will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Wichita.  Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m.
