Velasquez, Marilyn Ann (Bybee), 81, retired USD 259 Head Start Social Worker, beloved mom, grandma, sister, aunt and friend, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012. She was born in Harrisonville, Missouri to Arthur and Elizabeth Bybee. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Joe E. Velasquez, and her parents. She is survived by her sister, Nancy (Mike) Estess; cousin, Cynthia (Marvin) Weddle; son, Lee (Vivian) Velasquez; daughter, Elisa Balleau; grandchildren, Sarah Balleau, Ben Balleau, Anna Balleau, Frankie Velasquez, Olivia Velasquez, and loving friend, Herschel Skaggs. She leaves behind many friends and young people who knew her as Grandma. Visitation 5-7 p.m. Thursday, December 27, and Services 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 28, both will be held at Kechi United Methodist Church. Burial will follow the service at Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside, Wichita, Kansas. Memorials may be designated to the Kechi United Methodist Church, 4533 E. 61st St. N., Kechi, Ks 67067.
