Marilyn (Wilson) Carey's Obituary
Marilyn J Carey passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021 in Valley Center Kansas. She was born in Wichita, Kansas to Blaine and Gladys (Neal) Wilson on May 13, 1938. She was a resident of Pretty Prairie and Valley Center, Kansas. Marilyn was a graduate of Valley Center High School. She worked for Richard Minkler Insurance for many years until he retired, then worked for Kenny Dingwall Insurance. Her greatest joys were spending time with her family, crocheting, and square dancing.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 65 yrs, Lester; children Craig (Ina) of Texico, New Mexico, Julee (Steve) Mellinger of Maize Ks., Kevin (Lenora) of Valley Center; grandchildren: Louie Delgado, Kelly (Hector) Hernandez, Jody Carey, Jamie (Richard) Broome, Scott (Hillary) Mellinger, Matt (Amanda) Mellinger, Brett (Erika) Mellinger, Kylee Mellinger (Brian Velo), Zacarey (Amanda) Carey, Sam (Jessie) Carey, Dustin Carey; 32 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren; many other family and friends.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2022 and Services will be 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 both held at the First United Methodist Church, 560 N. Park, Valley Center, Kansas.
Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Parkinson's Foundation or First United Methodist Church in Valley Center.
