MARILYN  SUE  (MCCONNELL)  ADAMS , 70, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018. She was born in Hays, Kansas to Charles W. McConnell and Elsie (Wheeler) McConnell. She was a graduate of Wakeeney High School, Wakeeney, Kansas. She worked as a stenographer for the Department of Army for awhile. She then for many years did child care in her home while raising her family. She enjoyed time spent with her family and loved helping others. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gerald Adams; her children Julie (Justin) McNutt of Wichita, Dori (Ken) Smith of Wichita, Brian (Carla) Adams of Kechi; grandchildren Andy (Tiffany) Smith, Charley Adams, Kyrie Smith, Grace McNutt, Glorey McNutt, Isaac Smith, Avery Adams, Quincy Adams; sister Carol Ginest; many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Elsie McConnell, sisters Charlotte McConnell, Shirley Coleman, brothers Ronnie McConnell and Myron McConnell. Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00 noon, Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Kechi City Hall Community Room, 220 W. Kechi Road, Kechi, Kansas 67067.
