Louise Eleanor (Preuss) Mierau, 93, passed away, Tuesday, August 19, 2014. She was born in Stuttgart, Kansas to Leonard Preuss and Helen (Zimmermann) Preuss. She was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School. She met and fell in love with William C. Mierau, Sr. and on January 23, 1949 in Stuttgart, Kansas they were wed. Louise is preceded in death by her husband William, parents Leonard and Helen Preuss, brother Leonard Preuss, sisters Alwena Fenske and Emma Gackstatter. She is survived by her son William C. Mierau, Jr. and his wife Sharon of Halstead and her daughter Connie Johnson and her husband Ed of Wichita; grandchildren Ellen Mosley, Kathy Ensey and David Johnson; great grandchildren Julia, Aaron and Elise Ensey; sister Barbara Wildrix of Topeka; sister-in-laws Norma Preuss of Phillipsburg and Edith Hadle of Manhattan. Visitation 5-7 p.m., Friday, August 22 and Service 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 23, both held at Valley Center Christian Church, 1801 E. Fifth, Valley Center.
