WICHITA, KANSAS
LONNIE DALE LONG,
57, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017. He was born in Wichita, Kansas to Francis and Lottie Long. He was a Spirit Aerosystems Production Specialist in Wichita, Kansas. After graduation and college, he served in the U.S. Army from 1983 to 1986. Lonnie married the love of his life on July 14, 1984. He enjoyed time spent with walking his dog 'Rufus', cooking, or watching the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. Most of all he loved the opportunity for family time. He is survived by his wife Pamela Long; son Jared (Jessica) Long of Brooklyn, New York; daughter Kara Long of Chicago, Illinois; parents Francis and Lottie Long of Haysville; sister Joy (Merlin) Kaiser of Wichita; nieces Amber Kaiser of Kansas City, Missouri and Rachel Kaiser of Wichita; parents-in-law Wayne and Theresa Schremmer of Wichita; many other family and friends. Viewing 9:30 a.m. and Mass 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 27, both held at St. Jude Catholic Church, 3130 N. Amidon, Wichita, Kansas. Graveside following at the Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside, Wichita, Kansas. Memorials may be designated in his memory to the St. Jude Catholic School, 3030 N. Amidon, Wichita, Kansas 67204.
