Lois Hinds (86) passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025.  She was born September 22, 1938 in Montreal, Missouri to Clifford and Pauline Scrivner.  She moved to Valley Center, Kansas in 1943 and graduated from Valley Center High School in 1956.  In December of 1956, she married Vonley Hinds. The couple had four children: Kathy (Dan) Frazier, Deanna (Don) Walters, Kenny (Elexis) Hinds, and Doug (Katrina) Hinds. Lois wore many hats in her life.  She was a loving mother and wife, owner/operator of a home-based income tax preparation business called 3R Services, and owner/operator of a used bookstore called Book Nook.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Pauline and Clifford, her husband, Vonley, brother, Bobby Scrivner, and sisters, Margaret Goldsmith and Joyce Leonard.

Lois is survived by her brother Ray (Erma) Scrivner, sister Karen (Ken) Retter, all 4 of her children, 13 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 19 starting at 9:00 am  with Funeral service 10:00 am at Baker Funeral Home in Valley Center, Kansas. Graveside will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, Kansas.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com
