85, retired Grumman Aircraft and Cessna Aircraft Jig Builder, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017. He was born in Modoc, Kansas to Lloyd Warren Verbeck, Sr. and Elsie Iva (Fairchild) Verbeck. He was a graduate of North High School in Wichita, Kansas. He was a Purple Heart recipient while serving in the U.S. Army and a Korean War Veteran. He enjoyed hunting, driving and his family. He is survived by his children Robyn Verbeck of Park City, Ted (Tami) Verbeck of Ohio, Joni Schroder of New Jersey, Karie (Dave) Gandy of New Jersey; 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; brothers Jack (Annie) Verbeck of Wichita, Jerry (Linda) Verbeck of Wichita; sisters Lois 'Sis' Welch of Wichita, Dorothy Johnson of Lake Stevens, WA, Marjorie 'Bea' (Fred) Campbell of Buffalo, MO and sister-in-law Delva Verbeck of Wichita; many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd Sr. and Elsie Verbeck, brothers Raymond Verbeck and 'Sonny' Wayne Verbeck, brother-in-laws Bernard Welch and Danny Johnson. Visitation 3-5 pm, Thursday, August 24 at Baker Funeral Home Valley Center. Service 11 am, Friday, August 25 at Lakeview Cemetery, 12100 E. 13th, Wichita.
