Linda S. Keene passed away on November 22, 2022 at her residence in Park City, Kansas. She was born September 12, 1948 in Bloomington, IL to Wayne and Betty (Schroeder) Gastineau. She attended Bloomington/Normal Schools and graduated from Normal Community High School. After graduation, she was a waitress and CNA. She later obtained her Food Service Certificate and ran Linda's Café in New Athens, IL. She worked as kitchen supervisor at Westminster Village Bloomington, IL and was the head cook at Rocking Horse Child Care and Kids Klub before becoming an Administrative Assistant at AFNI and eventually retired from Cox Communications in Wichita, KS. She attended Full Gospel Tabernacle of Heyworth, IL, Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Bloomington, IL and First Pentecostal Church of Wichita, KS. She held several positions at the churches she attended which included organist, children's director, choir director, Sunday school teacher and resource room facilitator. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, reading, and playing scrabble. As well as the organ, she also played piano, the accordion and clarinet. She enjoyed spending her summer working in the Kitchen at the Illinois District Campground.
She was preceded in death by her husband(s), Dennis Hollowell of Wichita, KS and James Keene of Wichita, KS. Her father Wayne Gastineau, Betty (Schroeder) Gastineau, her sister Donna Mae Gastineau, brother Larry Gastineau of Bloomington, IL and sister Sandra Kay (Gastineau) Engquist of Glendale, AZ.
Linda is survived by her one brother Kenneth (Vickie) Gastineau of Heath, OH and her children: Tim Hollowell, Bloomington, IL Kimberly (Hollowell) Jackson (Darren), Park City, KS and Lisa (Hollowell) Lamb (Claude) Wichita, KS. Her six grandchildren: Zachary Jackson (Autumn) Megan Hollowell (Nathan Oakley), Lauren Jackson (Ben Hall), Brandon Hollowell, Kacey Jackson (Mark Sloan) and her five great grandchildren: Benjamin, Parker, Roman, Mark III, and Oliver.
Her Celebration of Life service will be held at Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Bloomington, IL on December 17 th @ 2:00 p.m. and her graveside service is at the Veterans Cemetery Winfield, KS on December 30 th at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to FPC Wichita Bus Ministry at 1755 E MacArthur in Wichita, KS 67216.
