Linda Joyce Davis-Haskins, 82, passed away on August 13, 2023 in Newton, Kansas.
She was born on July 16th, 1941, in Independence, Kansas to Earl J. Houck and Alma M. (Schulze) Houck. She was a lifelong resident of Valley Center, Kansas. Linda attended Maize High School and later graduated from Wichita State University where she earned her Bachelor's Degree. She went on to the University of Kansas and earned a Master's Degree as a Social Welfare Worker. After which, she worked for several different agencies and eventually worked at Youthville, where she retired.
Linda loved her family and was known to always be right there engaging with all of the children. She was a talented crafter, and was known for her sewing, ceramics/pottery, and most of all her beautiful quilts. She was a lover of nature, and enjoyed camping, gardening, and all things of beauty. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, for her genuine kindness, her caring and giving nature, and most of all for her spunk and the fun-loving spark that twinkled in her eyes.
Linda is survived by her spouse Ray E. Haskins; her children (and spouses) Alan E. Davis (Katrina), Stephanie L. Kelly (Mike), Valorie L. Willits (Michael); children by marriage Nancy Myrtle (Greg), Ruth James, Rose Wilkins (David), Matthew Haskins; grandchildren (great-grandchildren) Jessica L. Eales (Ray), Levi A. Willits (Emma), Joseph L. and Stephanie Willits (Sawyer, Ryan), Cody L. Davis (Zeek), Jade A. Davis (Allister, Rydan), Mikayla N. Kelly (Bailee, Ryker); brothers Phillip Houck (Diane), Stuart Houck; sister Sheryl Erikson; many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Alma Houck.

Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 18 at Baker Funeral Home Valley Center Chapel, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center. All are welcome to come celebrate her life. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com
