PARK CITY, KANSAS
LILA IRENE SHEA
, 66, retired Beechcraft Inspector, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018. She was born in Independence, Kansas. The family then moved to Wichita, Kansas and she graduated from Wichita Heights High School. She took great pride in her work holding many positions at Beech where she was highly respected by co-workers and then retired after 40 years. She loved Elephants and Elvis Presley, enjoyed travelling, yet her greatest passion was her family and family reunions which she never missed. Lila was survived by her sisters Mary (Joe) Henley of Livingston, TX, Virginia Shea of Park City, KS, Lydia Swanson of Augusta, KS, Roberta (Monty) Guthrie of Augusta, KS, Penny (Mark) Smithhart of Whitewater, KS and Peggy (Chuck) Roets of Valley Center, KS; brothers Ron (Rita) Christlieb of Warden, IL and Douglas (Sonja) Christlieb of Lynchburg, MO; step mother Mary Seay of Crosby, TX; aunts Freda Winkleman of Cherryvale, KS, Phyllis Nolan of Whitewater, KS and Marjorie Kurtz of Wichita, KS; uncle Harold Jay Lindsay of Red Bay, AL; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Jerry Shea, Alice and Robert Christlieb; and brother William R. Shea.
Memorials
may be designated in her memory to the Sedgwick County Zoo Elephants, 5555 W. Zoo Blvd, Wichita, Kansas 67212.
Visitation
5-7 p.m., Wednesday, September 12 and
Service
10:00 a.m., Thursday, both at Baker Funeral Home Valley Center. Graveside following at Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside, Wichita, Kansas. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com
