Obituary

VALLEY CENTER, KS Wilhite, Leslie Arthur, 88, retired Boeing and Beech Aircraft Technical Engineer. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 11, 2012. He was born in Watonga, Oklahoma to Warren Luke Wilhite and Rosie Ellen (Hoskins) Wilhite. He married Ruth Bright on July 22, 1945 on the farm in rural Valley Center. Les loved driving for the USD 262 School Bus system, tour buses, church buses and more. He enjoyed ministering and teaching at Calvary Baptist Church in RA's, children's ministry and where he could be used. Les is survived by his wife, Ruth Wilhite; children, Dean and Beth Wilhite of Wichita, Mike and Judy Wilhite of Park City, Stan and Deborah Wilhite of Valley Center, Mellany and Sam McCorkle of Whitewater; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; sisters, Opal and Carl Rumsey of Oklahoma City, OK and Ellen Mauldin of Manon, WA; many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Warren and Rosie Wilhite. Visitation 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, June 13 at Baker Funeral Home, 100 S.
