Leonard Hermicillo Perales Jr., 69, formerly of Garden City, died Monday July 18, 2016, in Wichita. He was born May 20, 1947, to Leonard Perales Sr. and Lorenza (Hermicillo) Perales in Garden City. He married Julia Ann Blackburn Perales on Aug. 8, 1992, in Garden City. He served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife; his children, Danielle Howard of Wichita, Deric Perales of Wichita, Brandon Woods of Pueblo, Colo., and Josh Blackburn of Kansas City, Mo.; his siblings, Rosario Perales of Wichita, and Rosie Perales, Ralph Perales and Andra Molina, all of of Garden City; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Cy Perales, Isabel Perales and Benny Perales. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at St. James Episcopal Church, 3750 E. Douglas in Wichita. Baker Funeral Home of Valley Center is handling the arrangements. A come-and-go celebration of life service is planned for noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Senior Center of Finney County. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Leonard Perales for medical bills.
