WICHITA, KS - PALMETO, FL
Leland Franklin Peters, 90, OTR Transport Driver, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011. He was born in American, Ohio to Aaron Newton Peters and Effie Catherine (Miller) Peters. He is survived by his children, Terry (Marcy) Peters of Portland, OR, Robert Peters of Bradenton, FL, Lyle Rockefeller of Canandaigua, NY, and Darold (Margaret) Peters of Wichita; sister, Martha Ladd of OH; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Newton and Effie Peters, brother Denton Peters, and sisters, Mary Denton, Edith Boyd and Gladys Angle. Visitation 5-7 pm, Thursday, September 1; Services 10 am, Friday, September 2, both held at Baker Funeral Home, Valley Center. Burial following the service at Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside, Wichita. Memorials may be designated to Hospice Care of Kansas, 808 S. Hillside, Wichita, Ks 67211. Baker Funeral Home, Valley Center had charge.
