KEVIN WAYNE MCMINNVILLE
, 54, passed away on February 28, 2018 in Vancouver, Washington with family surrounding him. He was born in Wichita, Kansas to Roy L. McMinnville Jr. and Ann Cummins. He was raised in the Springfield, Missouri area with his mom where he attended school, wrestled and was a 1982 graduate from Glendale High School in Springfield. Kevin then came to the Wichita, Kansas area. He loved motocross and dirt track racing, often finding himself at 81 Speedway. In 1989 he won the grand nationals in dirt track racing, and he also won the Hutchinson Nationals. At age 18 he also was working at Boeing and Spirit as a machinist then went on to become an NC Programmer. He was former NC Programmer Manager at Precise Machining and Manufacturing. Kevin received his Bachelor's Degree from attending WSU and Friends. He was full of life, always helping others. He enjoyed being on the farm, helping his dad during wheat harvest. Anything Kevin undertook was performed with precision, skill and excellence. He is survived by his son Zachary McMinnville and daughter Emily McMinnville; parents Ann Cummins, Roy L. (Kathleen) McMinnville, Jr.; stepmom Dorothy Stutler; sisters Jennifer (Aaron) Kottkamp, Kristie McMinnville and Sharon Kohler; brothers Travis (Lynn) McMinnville, Christopher Schnoor, Jeff Cummins, Sherman Cummins; nephews and nieces: Jake, Jack, Ben, Jordan, Jacob, Josua and Jayma; many other family and friends.
Service
will be held 11 a.m., Friday, March 16 at Baker Funeral Home Valley Center with graveside following at the Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside, Wichita. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com
