Keren Hazel (Woolsey) Battles,
74, retired Larksfield Place Resource Learning Center Specialist passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2014. She was born in Seward, Oklahoma to Robert Jerome Woolsey and Vivian Maude (Barthloma) Woolsey. Keren was a graduate of Newton High School, Newton, Kansas. On July 12, 1957 in Stillwater, Oklahoma she was married to the love of her life, Sam E. Battles.
Keren is survived by her husband Sam E. Battles of the home; children, Susan (William) Vosburg of Cheney, Sandy (Darrel) Blunck of Wichita, Cheri (Richard) Buhrer of Wichita and Trish (Brian) Dupuy of Augusta; grandchildren Jeremy Vosburg, SuAnn (Jason) Woodward, J.D. (Wendy) Foster, Matthew Foster, Amanda Blunck, Amie Blunck, Ricky (Erin) Buhrer, Joey Buhrer, Krissy Buhrer, Samantha (Mark) Sanger, Tony Blunck; great grandchildren Cash Woodward, Darbi Runyon, John Foster, Tyler Foster, Bella Foster, Jonah Foster, Bradley Tice, Julianna Johnston, Kaytlin Johnston and Camdon Blunck; sister Katherine, brothers Wayne and Jay, all of Wichita; many other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her son Tommy Battles, granddaughter Sonja Blunck, parents Robert Woolsey and Vivian Thomas, brothers Charles, Bill, Robert, and sisters Ruth, June and Elmary.
