KAY CLIFF COX
, 78, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017. He was born in Newton, Kansas to Gail Cliff Cox and Mabel (Wright) Cox. He was lifetime resident of Sedgwick, Kansas where he attended schools and graduated from Sedgwick High School. Kay was owner and operator of Cox Equipment for over 50 years of which he definitely loved his work. He also loved working on cars and racing. He is survived by his children Kelly (Gary) Childers, Chris Cox and Shana Metzger; grandchildren Shelby, Lauren, Dustin, Dakota, Kendra and Kayleb; great grandchildren Grace, JoVanna, Skylar, Addisyn and Paisley; brother-in-law Dean Held, nephew Dru Held and niece Tawn Held; many other family and friends. Kay was preceded in death by his granddaughter Tessa Cox, sister Colleen Held, his parents Gail and Mabel Cox. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 5:00 pm, Friday, July 7 at Baker Funeral Home Valley Center, followed by 6:00 pm with Family and Friends at the American Legion, 510 N. Commercial, Sedgwick, Kansas. Memorials may be designated in his memory to the Jr. Tractor Pull (Sedgwick Fall Festival) in care of the Sedgwick Booster Club, Sedgwick, Kansas.
