Joy, Katherine Rose "Kathy" (Coats), 60 , beloved mom, grandma, sister, aunt and friend, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015. She was born in Fredonia, Kansas to Uri Paul Coats and Wilma Rose (Kebert) Coats. She worked in the restaurant business for about 8 years. She was a caregiver for her parents for several years until her mother's passing in 2003. She received her CNA license and worked at many years at the Nursing Home and Fredonia Regional Hospital. She loved music, flowers, gardening, but most of all her grandsons and family. Kathy is survived by her son Brandon (Kristy) Coats; grandsons Uri and Rylant, step granddaughter Lynsay; siblings, Wilma Cox (Blackie Hammer), Richard Coats and Janice (Dail) Wescott; brother-in-law Leon (Beverly) Joy; special friend and sister at heart Debbie Voth; many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack Ray Joy, her parents Uri and Wilma Coats, sister Glenice Stussy, stepson Travis Joy, nephews Todd Coats and Matthew Coats, sister-in-law Susie North and brother-in-law Stanley Joy.
