Rooney, Kathryn "Eileen" (O'Malley), 94, retired Interior Decorator and Avon District Mgr, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011. She was born in Calista, Kansas, to Daniel Charles O'Malley and Lena (Miller) O'Malley. She is survived by her daughter, Caroline (Larry) Arnett of Kansas City, MO; son, Kevin (Carolyn) Rooney of Wichita; grandchildren Shannon (Tim) Collins of Wichita, Brian (Kasey) Rooney of Bethany, OK, and Allison (Cory) Kroupa of Valley Center; great grandchildren, Rhian, Meara and Owen Collins, Landon and Trenton Kroupa; brother, Francis O'Malley of Eldridge, IA; sister, Beatrice Magers of Atkins, AR. She is preceded by her husband, John J. Rooney; son, Larry Rooney; parents, Dan and Lena O'Malley; brothers, Emmett, Robert, Lee and Walter O'Malley. Rosary 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 13; Service 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 14, both at St. Jude Catholic Church, Wichita. Graveside 3:00 p.m. at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Emerald, Kansas.
