Kathleen Ann Buell " Kathy", 65, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026, at home in Valley Center, Kansas.

Kathy was born in Wichita, Kansas, to Dale Dean Roberts and Marybelle (Coit) Roberts. She lived her entire life in the Wichita area. She was a 1978 graduate of Valley Center High School and graduated with her Bachelor's degree from Friends University in 2000.

She began working at Boeing as a data input operator in May 1979. After completing her Bachelor's degree in 2000, she worked as an IT systems analyst for Boeing and Spirit Aerosystems until her death in 2026. In total, she worked at Boeing and Spirit Aerosystems for 46 years.

Kathy loved spending time with family, grandkids, and friends. She enjoyed traveling with her family. She enjoyed attending various sporting events throughout her life, whether for her kids and grandkids or for college sports with her husband. She was an avid reader and could often be found in her favorite chair in their house, reading a book. She also enjoyed doing cross-stitch and stitched many items over the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale Dean Roberts and Marybelle Roberts.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Buell of Valley Center; her children Lindsey (Mike) Lodes of Overland Park, Kansas and Jordan (Avery) Buell of Pella, Iowa; her grandchildren Gryffin Lodes, Fern Buell, and Nell Buell; her brother Dick Roberts of Eureka, Kansas and her sister Cindy Trimble of Marysville, Washington; many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be designated in her memory to: Victory in the Valley.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
