Obituary

Judith Ann Cook, 75, of Valley Center, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023. She was born in rural Galena, Missouri to Hilman "Jack" Crumbliss and Betty Lee (Grisham) Crumbliss. She grew up in the Bridgeport area where she attended school. She graduated from Wichita Heights High School in Wichita, Kansas. After graduation, she went to Butler Community College and went on to obtain her nursing degree as an RN. She began her working career at the Veteran's Hospital, Wesley and the Kansas Heart Hospital where she retired from.

She had a gift of ministering and helping people not only in the medical field, but every day life. Judy accepted Christ as her Savior as a teenager at People's Free Church. She enjoyed music and played the accordian. She also enjoyed spending time in her garden and crocheting gifts of love. She loved her dogs and watching Kansas City Chiefs.

She was preceded in death by son Jason Miller, parents Jack and Betty Crumbliss, brother Ronnie Crumbliss, nephew Justin Crumbliss and husband Clint Cook.

Judith is survived by her sons James Burris and Michael Burris (Lori) of Valley Center; grandchildren Brittany, Kailee, Jacob, Timmy, Meagen, Trent, Bella and Landon; sisters Janet (Dennis) Brannan of Huntsville, Arkansas and Kathryn Baker of Kechi, Kansas, sister-in-law Vicki Crumbliss; nieces Rhonda (Lonnie) Bennett, Tonya (John) Robertson, Patricia (Brad) Cherry; nephews John Crumbliss and Christopher Baker; many other family and friends.

Celebration of her Life date is to be determined.
